Casa Vellum
Casa Vellum is the website of a made-up 16-room boutique hotel in Lisbon. Each room has a gallery, a 360 degree explorer and a rates calendar, and guests send a booking request that checks availability and shows a nightly price breakdown. The site is written in the hotel's own warm, specific voice and designed to work well on a phone.
Will be live at hotel.phoenixcodes.org
What it proves
- A 360 degree room explorer that loads only when a visitor opens it.
- Availability and pricing logic with seasons, weekend uplift and length-of-stay discounts, covered by unit tests.
- A booking request flow that stores a reference and limits abuse.
- Structured data for hotels and rooms, so search engines read the pages properly.
How this adapts to your project
Connect the request form to your booking engine or channel manager, such as Mews or Cloudbeds, add a deposit through your payment provider, and sync availability from your property system. Rooms, rates and journal posts live in content files that can move into a CMS.
