Kestrel KS-01
Kestrel KS-01 is the launch site for a made-up Los Angeles sneaker label's first shoe, limited to 1,200 pairs. A 3D shoe turns through five scroll beats that explain how it is built, and visitors choose a colourway, pick a size with live stock, and reserve a pair. No payment is taken, and a waitlist covers the next drop.
Will be live at drop.phoenixcodes.org
What it proves
- A scroll-driven 3D story that is also reachable with buttons and falls back to still images.
- Stock that cannot be oversold: a reservation checks and reduces stock in one atomic step.
- A cart with saved state and tax estimates.
- A 3D shoe that loads only when it scrolls into view, with a poster image shown first.
How this adapts to your project
Replace reservations with payment through Shopify Hydrogen or a headless commerce API, and connect stock to your warehouse. The drop time, the countdown and the colourway names are plain configuration.
